Are you interested in sourdough and wish to develop within the field? Now you can become a central part of the production team at La Cabra Bakery, where we are looking for a baker for our sourdough bakery in the center of Aarhus.

 La Cabra is known in Aarhus for its welcoming café environments, where we serve well-brewed coffee and well-executed pastries. Our bakery on Borggade is also busy, with a steadily increasing demand for quality baked goods. Therefore, we are seeking you, someone who is interested in baking with sourdough and wishes to develop your skills within the field.

Key areas in this position will include close collaboration with our head baker to follow complex and specific recipes, baking for our cafés, baking for wholesale customers, and working in an open bakery with guests. The successful candidate will have a positive can-do attitude, strong interpersonal skills, structured work habits, and the desire to work and grow with a dedicated team of quality-conscious bakers.

Responsibilities

• Work together with our head baker and the rest of the baking team to efficiently weigh, mix, portion, shape, proof, and bake several types of bread, as well as weigh, mix, portion, and bake several croissants and pastries.

• Use various industrial kitchen tools and equipment such as convection/deck ovens, mixers, proofers, rollers, electric scales, etc.

• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas, adhering to sanitation/health regulations and company policy.

• Create a lively and positive atmosphere in the bakery.

Creative and energetic production team

You will be part of a creative and energetic production team in our bakery on Borggade, working with both bread and pastries. La Cabra Bakery is a young company in growth, and we practice a culture where we help each other with tasks that arise.

The position is full-time, and working hours vary in the timeframe Monday - Sunday from 04:00 AM to 2:00 PM, including both weekdays and weekends. As we are a production company, where we never 100% know what the day will bring, we need you to be flexible regarding your working hours.
