Today La Cabra consists of a roastery in Copenhagen, bakeries in Aarhus and New York, cafés in Aarhus, Copenhagen, New York and Bangkok, many key wholesale partners and a webshop that sells to more than 50 markets.

Responsibilites

Wholesale & Client relations personnel provide valued La Cabra clients with support on all matters related to brewing and serving our coffees within their business. The following characteristics are relevant for all personnel to master in order to be considered for the role:

A desire to provide exceptional customer service and communication to all clients.

Aim to truly understand the ambitions and expectations of a client in order to provide personalised support and service.

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all coffee offerings to assist clients with ordering and brewing.

Establish and maintain contact with existing and new clients within Denmark and Scandinavia to generate sales with a focus on establishing close partnerships and collaborations.

Ensure that clients are provided with access to the wholesale store as well as assistance with finalising orders.

Arrange visits to clients within the region to provide regular training and support in person.

Assist in the planning and executing local events to promote and develop brand awareness.

Assist on performance reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis as requested by Head of Sales & Client Relations.

The position is full-time, with expected start in the beginning of August.

Today La Cabra consists of a roastery in Copenhagen, bakeries in Aarhus and New York, cafés in Aarhus, Copenhagen, New York and Bangkok, many key wholesale partners and a webshop that sells to more than 50 markets. 

Our La Cabra Thailand partners are based in Bangkok; headed up by Bew and Bo, both of whom bring tremendous curiosity for specialty coffee to the table. The beginning of November 2020 saw the opening of our first location in Thailand. The first coffees brewed in Bangkok signaled the culmination of nearly two years of planning and development. In April 2023, we could welcome guests to Ari, the second La Cabra location in Bangkok. The addition of a La Cabra bakery is now underway, and we have therefore started our search for the right candidate to join our team. 

The Head Baker must have strong communication and organisational skills to ensure that all bread pastry items are prepared to La Cabra’s standards, to ensure a high quality customer experience, and to ensure efficient production and service in the cafe. They are responsbile for continuously improving the quality of all bakery items as well as the working environment.

Responsibilities 

The Head Baker will be responsible for day-to-day production and operational standards in bakery and for carrying out at least the following tasks:

Supervise and maintain operational standards in the bakery.

Review and maintain quality control of all bakery products.

Maintain Health, Safety and Cleaning standards in the bakery.

Oversee purchasing and purchasing budget.

Maintain communication between production staff and front of house staff.

Assist in daily bakery production or delegate to bakers as appropriate.

Schedule all employee working hours.

Handle recruitment of bakery staff and coordinate training.

Address various HR needs of bakery employees.

Maintain communication between cafe and bakery location.

Submit weekly and monthly sales reports.

The position is full-time, with expected start to be confirmed, earliest date would be start August 2023.
